English Country Decor - Hill House Vintage

English country decor charms the soul with faded florals, chintz and well worn vintage flea market finds. A self proclaimed treasure hunter and astonishing stylist, Paula Sutton has curated lovely collections in her home across the pond!

I recently became acquainted with Paula through Instagram and was immediately thunderstruck by her dazzler, grace and style! No wonder every paradigm calls as if out of a catalog shoot when you read her bio that comes direct from Paula'south blog The Hill House Diaries.

"I am an interiors obsessed mother of iii who, having been born and brought up in London, and later on many years working in the fashion industry as Head of Printing for Elite Premier Model agency (when Supermodels such every bit Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington were in their heyday) and producing shoots for Elle magazine, thought it would be a swell idea to bring the children up in the English countryside."

"I'm a lover of traditionally English language interiors – think  Nancy Lancaster, John Fowler et al – but with a 'shabby chichi' twist."

"I adore finding bargains at auctions, carboot sales and on e-bay and am an avid hunter at local flea markets and antique fairs."

"Hill Business firm is a Georgian house built in 1822, by the local gentleman brewmaster. I was fatigued to the Hill House because of the quintessentially Georgian nature of the architecture and its symmetry, original shutters and beautiful sense of scale. High ceilings, big windows, handsome foursquare rooms and beautiful mouldings effectually doors and windows. In that location is an elegant simplicity in the pattern of these houses that I adore."

"The house besides sits beautifully in the middle of its garden and is perfectly framed and surrounded by mature trees such as copper beech, and horse chestnut."

"I live here with my husband of 21 years, our twin daughters who are 16 years sometime and our son who is nineteen years old, plus Coco our six year sometime Labrador / Doberman mix dog."

"My husband and I met on our starting time twenty-four hour period of academy, and have been together for 29 years. We've endemic four houses together."
